1953 Jaguar XK120 SE Fixed Head Coupe

The first manifestation of the famous XK Jaguars, this model introduced the XK engine and stunned the automotive world with it's beautiful styling and a top speed of 120 MPH.
----- Extremely popular in England, where its weather protection is a valued attribute, the XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe is a timeless design. The curved shape of its roof is purposefully reflected in today’s Jaguars. Luxuriously appointed, the XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe featured the burled walnut dashboard and trim that has become a hallmark of fine British automobiles, roll-up windows with wind wings, a glove compartment, sun visors and interior lights. It came standard with a heater/defroster. All this luxury was reflected in its price, $4,075 when new, $430 more than its austere sibling, the "Open Top Sports" roadster.
-----   Powered by the dual overhead camshaft XK six cylinder engine, the Fixed Head Coupe performed well. It may have been luxuriously trimmed and appointed but it was Jaguar luxury – backed by good handling and plenty of power. With it's style, grace, performance and comfort, the fixed head coupe has won increasing recognition among collectors in recent years.
